Math Teacher Link ONLINE Courses


Program Description:
Math Teacher Link is a Web-based professional development program for mathematics teachers at the 9 to 14 grade levels. The Web-based program delivers 16 different professional development course modules on the use of technology for teaching mathematics at the high school and lower division college levels.

Enrollment Type:
Enrollment in Math Teacher Link is open-ended, so teachers can register at any time throughout the year. Introductory lessons are available online at http://mtl.math.uiuc.edu/module_download.php. Courses are available for graduate credit or for Continuing Education Units (CEUs). 

Total Number of Credit Hours:  Courses carry from 1 to 4 hours each; there are a dozen different courses.  See course description at http://mtl.math.uiuc.edu/short_courses.php.

Tuition/Program Costs:  Graduate tuition for 2007-2008 will be $320 per credit hour.  The fee for CEUs is $150 each.  The number of credit hours and CEUs is included in each course description. 

Admission Requirement(s):  Students may enroll in these courses without being admitted to a degree program.  They should have the necessary math background for the subject matter.
