Graduate Professional Development Certificate in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering

Program Description:

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is offering a certificate program in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering for individuals interested in learning the fundamental processes that control pollutant transport and fate in soil and groundwater. Students will also learn the methodologies and tools that use knowledge of these fundamental processes for modeling remediation and risk assessment. All courses are offered via the Internet using streaming technology.

Admission Requirement(s): Students who wish to apply must meet the following requirements.

- BS degree in engineering or science from an accredited college in the United States or an approved institution of higher learning abroad.

- Have a 3.0/4.0 or higher GPA for the last 60 semester hours in a BS program. Students who do not meet the 3.0/4.0 GPA criterion may still be eligible to apply if they have significant experience outside of the classroom. Such students are encouraged to contact the graduate advisor at valocchi@uiuc.edu.

Application Deadline:

December 1 for Spring Semester

Students do not need to be admitted to a degree or certificate program to enroll in online courses.
