UIUC Course Catalog and Class Schedule
While off-campus degree-seeking students must use the Academic Outreach Course Search to select courses for enrollment, students may review the UIUC Course Catalog and Class Schedule to view on-campus course availability.
Course Numbering System
Beginning Fall 2004, the University course numbering system reflects the following changes: 100-300 level courses generally for Undergraduates; 400 level courses generally for upper level Undergraduates and graduate students; 500 and 600 level courses generally for graduate and professional students, respectively. The University Timetable will contain previous course numbers in parentheseis within the course listings. A crosswalk has been developed to identify the old-to-new numbers.

Dual Enrollment
Students enrolled in on-campus courses and either Academic Outreach or GIS courses during the same semester will receive both a credit range tuition and fee assessment (for their on-campus courses) and a per credit hour tuition and fee assessment (for their Academic Outreach or GIS courses). On-campus students enrolling in Academic Outreach or GIS courses should first check with their dean or advisor to determine whether these courses will fulfill their degree requirements.

Grades
Grade reports are no longer mailed. AView access to grades, an unofficial transcript, and other information is available through the UI Integrate/Banner Self-Service System.
Holds on Student Accounts
The UI Integrate/Banner system uses a process called "holds" (similar to the current encumbrance process) to block registration activity, transcript release, graduation, etc. Students with a hold on their registration activity will be able to view their hold type and description, as well as, instructions on how to remove the hold to allow registration and other activities. Check with the appropriate office and clear all holds. You CANNOT register if you have any holds.
Net ID and Enterprise ID
A Unique Identification Number (UIN) will be assigned to all students taking courses for academic credit. In addition, these students are asked to to establish NetID and Enterprise ID. A Network ID (NetID) and NETID password are required to access your student computer account issued by the Campus Information Technologies and Educational Services (CITES).
If you are a new student, you will receive your UIN, NetID and password. If you have previously attended UIUC or taken courses through Academic Outreach, you will already have a NetID and NetID password.
If you do not know your NetID or NetID password, you may contact Academic Outreach at 800-252-1360 or CITES at 217-244-7000; 800-531-2531; consult@uiuc.edu; www.cites.uiuc.edu/help.
NetID passwords must be reset each year. You will be notified (via your UIUC e-mail account) 2 weeks in advance of this expiration or download and follow the instructions on the CITES Password Change Form.
Students taking a course ONLY for CPDUs or CEUs (professional development units, not academic credits) will not receive a UIN or NetID. However if that student eventually takes a course for academic credit, they will receive their own UIN and NetID.
