Library Services: Student and Faculty Services

Student Services Services are limited to students currently enrolled in courses offered through the Division of Academic Outreach. - Obtaining Journal Articles, Books, Dissertations: There is no charge for this service. Please refer to our Requesting Materials page for information and a link to the request form.
- Providing research and reference assistance
- Conducting individual library instruction sessions: We can instruct you via phone or email on searching the UIUC Library's electronic resources.
- Obtaining I-cards: The I-card gives students borrowing privileges at the I-Share member libraries and also serves as a University of Illinois identification card.
Faculty Services Services are limited to faculty teaching courses through the Division of Academic Outreach. - Conducting library instruction sessions on accessing electronic resources. Instruction can be delivered on-site or via audio teleconference. We can also provide a general orientation to AO Library Services.
- Placing photocopied material on electronic reserve
- Placing print reserve material at instructional sites
- Providing research and reference assistance
- Obtaining books and journal articles; also, videos for classroom use. There is no charge for this service.
