Course Extensions
If you feel that you cannot complete the course in the six-month course completion period, you may request a single, three-month extension. An extension requires a written request submitted seven business days prior to the end of your six-month course completion period, an additional fee (of $100), and ICON approval. Send:
- Either this form or a written request
- A check (payable to the University of Illinois) or credit card information to:

Note that this additional fee is not covered by scholarships. Your request will be reviewed, and you will be notified. If your request is not approved, the fee will be refunded.
Course Transfers
Once enrolled in an ICON self-paced course, you are allowed to transfer only once to another ICON self-paced course and only if the transfer request is received within two months of your original enrollment date. A transfer fee of $20 will be assessed, and you will be charged $12 per lesson from the original course that you submitted. In addition, any difference in tuition charges must be paid. Refunds will not be given for lower tuition charges for the new course.
