The Technical Assistance Center (TAC) is a cooperative effort between the University of Illinois and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to facilitate the transfer of technology to the public sector. Scott McDonald, Director of TAC, works closely with the Construction Engineering Research Lab (CERL) in Champaign to develop, test, distribute, and support software for engineers and building professionals in various capacities.
The products distributed by TAC represent years of research and development and are being used in a wide variety of applications worldwide by airports, municipalities, military installations, private corporations, and consultants. Engineered Management Systems (EMS) combine the latest in computer technology with the most current research in facilities management to provide you with powerful assessment and forecasting tools – at an affordable cost.
Training courses for software users are offered at several locations, both national and international, throughout the year. For more information on courses and software, please visit the Technical Assistance Center Web site.
